It may please your L. there are two honest gentlemen in London, bothe of my acquaintance, Master William Gent, and Master John Chamberlaine, with whome I have some buisnes, that doth concerne their estate, and mine owne very neere. And because it is a mater of bargaine, and can not well be concluded, but by mutuall communication, they are bothe desirous, to make a voiage unto me. In whiche respect, lest their passing beyond the seas, should turne to their prejudice, I am to pray your L. very humbly, to give them the charge of carieng hither the next packet, ether from her Majestie or from my LL. of the Councel. Your L. shall bestowe in so doing a singular favor upon us, and for the good demeanor of the gentlemen, because I knowe them very inwardly, I will pawne my credit in their behalf, as farre as your L. shalbe pleased to accept it.
